Oho! What an excellent combination of eastern-style drums with jazz piano. The piano is very busy. I particularly like the variety in the composition. Many interesting variations upon the theme in the 2-3min part that work really well.
The bit at 3:20 is really surprising an yet.. works magnificently.
Amazing what you can do with just drums and a piano. Kudos.

Thank you for being in dmusic.. and adding your unique brand of playing here.. to me, the jazz fan, this is very refreshing! You raise the level of us all! BTW.. check Nuevo on my page I think you will dig it. I did it at home in Ohio using FL Studio.

It sounds like you have taken a lot of influence from Debussey but really modernized it and taken it into a whole new thing. Great job again and another thumbs up from me.

Love the soft rolls on that hand drum! Great humorous intro. Theatrical, it seems like two actors giving a comic two-man act before the real show starts. Lots of wit, energy, and just virtuosity.
The return to the intro mood around 3:30 is tops!
Very lyric conclusion! That was a lot of fun

Those fast trills and runs give this tune a big kick start. It cooks very hot and then falls into something more pensive and I love how it then continues to go back and forth between these two moods. Hot and cool, but never cold. Those moments of pause and silence grab my attention and keep me wondering what will happen next: great tension. A beautiful composition and an excellent performance by both of you.

Hey. Heard this on your myspace. Absolutely love it. Hear strong elements of Debussy and at times it reminded me of Craig Armstrong. Like I said, don't really know much about this sort of music but give it time ... great again.

Henri
Your Piano playing always amazes me man.
I just can't comprehend hitting all of those notes without a single flaw at all. Maybe if i spent the next 10 years editing each note in a midi sequencer would I get somewhere still a mile away from this
Besides the piano, it's fair to say that the percussion is pretty damn cool.
